HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE
High blood pressure, or Essential Hypertension is a serious condition which may result in heart failure, stroke or kidney failure. If due care is taken these may not occur until old age. There may be no symptoms and the condition might only be discovered during a medical examination.
Where there are symptoms they may show as:
- Headache
- Ringing in the ears (tinnitus)
- Giddiness
Treatment consists of:
- Rest
- Avoiding any undue effort, strain or excitement
- Plenty of sleep
