- If your partner has Diabetes have you discussed their history and experiences of the condition?
- Do you know how to recognise the onset of hypoglycaemia?
- Do you know how to treat them if they are still concious?
- Do you know the necessary aftercare that is required?
- Do you know how to treat them if they have lost conciousness?

- The sufferer will usually get some indications of the onset of a problem which they will recognise.
This may give them time to give you warning.
- They will usually have medication or a sugary snack available
